Our story

Born from life on the road.
Designed around diabetes.

We’re Cazzy and Bradley, the couple behind Farava. After years of travelling with Type 1 diabetes, we wanted a better way to keep supplies organised. So we set out to create one.

Where it began

Travelling with diabetes means taking more than your passport.

Cazzy was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at 16. Since then, she’s travelled to almost 100 countries, including seven years of full-time travel.

Backpacking through Asia meant carrying diabetes supplies alongside everything else needed for life on the road. Too often, those supplies ended up scattered between different pockets and pouches, or buried at the bottom of a backpack.

At airport security, that meant digging everything out again. At a remote border crossing into Vietnam, explaining unfamiliar supplies across a language barrier was harder when they were stored in different parts of the bag.

We wanted one organised place for those essentials: easier to pack, easier to find and easier to show when someone needed to see what we were carrying.

The idea behind Farava

Less digging through bags.
More knowing where things are.

The Travel Case began with that practical problem. We wanted to bring supplies together in a dedicated case, with a layout that could be adjusted around the things its owner carries.

As our travels shifted towards road trips, the idea became just as useful for shorter journeys. A weekend away or a day out still means checking what you have, packing what you need and knowing where to find it.

We also wanted something we’d be happy to carry. A considered design, thoughtful materials and a place in our travel kit alongside everything else.

The Farava Travel Case is designed to organise supplies. It does not provide cooling, and diabetes supplies are not included.

From idea to Travel Case

Almost 11 months.
More than eight rounds of revisions.

Turning the idea into a product took almost 11 months of development and back-and-forth with manufacturers.

Across more than eight rounds of sample revisions, we refined the layout, materials and finish. We made substantial changes to the quality and feel of the materials, working towards a case that felt as considered as it looked.

Cazzy’s experience shaped those decisions: what she carries, what gets lost in a bag and what would make packing for the next trip feel more organised.

The result is the first Farava Travel Case, now moving towards its first production run.

The people behind Farava

Two people. Different roles. One shared project.

Cazzy

The vision & lived experience

Cazzy is the person whose experience started Farava. She brings the perspective of someone who travels with Type 1 diabetes and knows the small frustrations that come with packing supplies.

She shapes the product, shares the story and helps keep the brand focused on the people we’re creating it for.

Bradley

Bringing the details together

Bradley works behind the scenes to help bring Farava to life: speaking with manufacturers, coordinating development and working through delivery and logistics.

He’s also building this website and handling the less visible details that turn an idea into something we can put into customers’ hands.

125% Funded

Our first backers helped make it happen.

We brought the Travel Case to Kickstarter, where our first backers helped us reach 125% of our funding target.

Their support helped fund our first production run and turn months of development into the next chapter for Farava.

To everyone who backed us at the beginning: thank you for helping us get here.
